I am really impressed how many facets there are to the city of Chattanooga. Most everyone knows the famous Ruby Falls and Rock City on Lookout Mountain or its history as a railroad time. Yet is also has a very walkable and active downtown set along a beautiful riverwalk with parks and art gardens, impressive views and homes upon Missionary Ridge, and active areas for sun and play along the Chickamauga Dam. A walk through narrow caves far under Lookout Mountain takes you to the impressive Ruby Falls with its changing light show display and the many interesting cave formations on the way to it. Meanwhile on the mountain above nearby is the famous area of Rock City–while actually on the Georgia side of the border, its trails and scenic views and rock formations and famous slogan are very much more associated with Chattanooga.
