LaGrange is a town in Troup County not too far from the Alabama border. It has an extremely well kept up old town square as well as a number of historic homes that are readily accessible. It also sits near the large reservoir of West Point Lake where some friends and I have enjoyed going for fishing. (2020)
The lovely fountain right in the middle of the town square is topped with a statue of Lafayette
Located right down from the historic town square, the LaGrange Art Museum also has an attached community center.
There are historic antebellum homes throughout LaGrange, one well-known example being the Bellevue Mansion seen here
LaGrange has a wonderful county recreation area called Pyne Road Park that is on West Point Lake. It has camping and boat launches or is simply a nice place to sit on the bank fishing.
