Pine Mountain is a small town that has gained prominence for the use made of the beautiful area around it—FDR State Park offers some nice views of from atop Pine Mountain ridge and the famous Callaway Gardens are a major attraction that literally put the town on the map. (The name of the town was changed in 1958 to capitalize on people associating the area with the Pine Mountain gardens as they were called at the time.) (2005, 2020, 2025)

Calloway Gardens is a famed botanical resort with tons of forested trails, lakes, and greenhouses with plants and flowers all year round as well as a butterfly habitat. They have lots of special events full of lights and displays as well.
