As you leave the east side of Grand Canyon National Park, you are passing through the Navajo nation. Some people have set up stands to browse Native handicrafts and you can also visit overlooks of the other rivers and canyons around. (2005)
Driving through lonely stretches of this area, you suddenly see a hogan (Navajo home) in the middle of the desert.
The area we visited is right along the Little Colorado River and Canyon
There are several of Native-owned stands with souvenirs, crafts, and such
