On the way to Giverny from Paris, you pass through the town of Vernon. I’m glad I took time to visit since Vernon is quite pleasant with an old town center, some castle ruins, and picturesque views along the Seine. (2004)

I love this old mill which lies outside the town along the Seine. It really gives a feeling of the old farm life of Normandy.
