I was lucky to travel through Alsace with a friend from Germany since driving in his car meant we could stop off at smaller locations like this walled old town full of super-colorful half-timbered houses and quaint old shops. (2025)
This tourist focused town is full of quaint shops (where you can get some nice local cheeses) and the old-style picture market signs
The town has not only portions of its old wall still in tact but several of the entrance gate towers as well.
It’s an area well known for wine and vineyards as can be seen on the hillsides around the town
