Nancy is a city in the old Lorraine region of France which has multiple different sections from different eras of the city. Among these, the gilded gates of Stanislas Square and the garden walkway behind it are most notable as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (2020)
The gilded wrought iron gates at every corner of Place Stanislas are definitely a beautiful site. They are complimented by the magnificent fountains at each end.
Place Stanislas at night is quite beautifully lit
The Porte de la Craffe is a significant example of the remaining medieval structures of ville vielle Nancy.
The city is also the location of ‘l’Ecole de Nancy’, the turn-of-the-century group that focused on art nouveau which emphasized the inclusion of natural motifs and elements in the decorative arts. The home where many of these artists worked is now a museum
