The Vercors Massif is a large granite mountain range along the line of the Alps that stretches from the west side of Grenoble almost forty miles down south. That northern section above Grenoble is called Les Quatre Montagnes and some of my friends moved there several years ago to a village called Lans-en-Vercors. I’ve been able to visit them a number of times and thus gotten to see many of the amazing mountain views and overlooks of the area. (2011, 2025)
