Defined by the peanut industry around it, Blakely is a small Georgia county seat with a prominent downtown courthouse square, some old homes, and historic churches. Farms surround the town which also sits near the historic Kolomoki Mounds state park (2026).

Just down a bit from downtown Blakely, between several acres of farm fields all around, is Kolomoki Mounds State Park–an area for both important Native American historical remains and leisure on its camping and lakes.
