Helen is an oddity of a town in North Georgia; designed to resemble a Bavarian German mountain village, it is full of half-timbered buildings, biergartens, and pretzel stands. Despite the kitschy premise, it’s actually a fairly popular spot with its setting right on the Chattahoochee River and it boasts a very popular and packed out Oktoberfest every year.
