Charlotte is a medium sized town in North Carolina with a downtown core full of student hangouts and such. I’ve visited family friends in the suburbs and outlying rural areas there quite often but have also gotten to see a little bit of the larger city as seen here. (2014, 2015, 2017)

The Bank of America building at central Independence Square has some interesting sculptures like the big disk here.
Historic Settler’s Cemetery in the heart of downtown with graves from the start of the city to the Civil War.
As hub for American Airlines, Charlotte’s airport has a nice little museum of aviation with the actual “Miracle on the Hudson” jet flown by Sully.
World-renowned evangelist Billy Graham is originally from Charlotte and this large library/ museum surrounded by beautiful gardens showcases his life history.
The nice lake and outdoor amphitheater at Freedom Park.
I really liked this shot of firewood stacked at my friend’s parent’s farm in a small town on the rural outskirts of Charlotte
